// I dream in short film.//

My stomach needs to be completely empty before I go to bed. I realized that if I have the slightest hint of food or caffeine in my body, I’m going to have nightmares or really intense dreams.

Last night for example.

Dreamt I went to go visit Pam with another friend.  We’re in some suburban neighborhood that’s clearly too large for the average person. We bike around until we find the run down house that she lived in. I later run into my 4th grade crush. He baked me cookies and is in a large black trenchcoat. We follow Pam and him into the house. 

Later someone else follows us and tried to rob us at gunpoint. My crush runs off (what a pansy). Pam and my other friend gets shot (I was unsure if they were alive). I’m running off to a room and hiding behind a closet with sliding doors, so sure that I wouldn’t get caught. Sure enough, I see the gunman’s eyes and I felt my forehead grow warm. It gets dark.

The dream gets weirder.

I suddenly wake up and find myself in a dim lit room with my sister sitting there, surprised to see me. I had no sense of time and started to panic. I asked about my friends and where they were, my sister had no idea.  For some reason I had my phone on me so I called my boyfriend if he could tell me what happened.  He said I was out in a coma for a week. What?

The rest of the dream I can only remember that I went through the symptoms of PTSD then woke up.

Why are my dreams always so intense? It freaks me out.

What a week I’ve had. Stomach bug, please go away. I just want to rest.

I dreamt of wasps nests and huge spider webs in an abandoned house I was trapped in. The house was also on a rocky cliff.
